The Nemtsov Forum, Day 2
Revitalising the Nemtsov Forum after a three-year pause, we gather against the backdrop of the Russian invasion of Ukraine – an event that starkly emphasised the relevance of Boris Nemtsov’s idea. Nemtsov’s backing of Ukraine and his support for the Maidan movement, along with his 2014 exposé on Putin`s role in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, clearly highlight his foresight regarding Putin’s aggressive intentions. The forum acts as a platform for conversations and input that Nemtsov could have provided if he had not been assassinated in Russia in 2015.
