The Co-founders and the Board of Trustees of the Boris Nemtsov Foundation for Freedom have decided to award the Boris Nemtsov Prize for Courage to Russian politician Alexei Navalny. Alexei Navalny has not only demonstrated incredible personal courage, but has also made an outstanding contribution to exposing corruption and increasing citizens’ engagement in Russia’s still-existing political procedures. Over the years he has become Russia’s most influential opposition politician and a symbol of resistance to tyranny across the world.
The Nemtsov Foundation demands the immediate release of Alexei Navalny.
