This year, the school will take place from July 14th to July 27th at the Erich Brost Institute for International Journalism (Technical University of Dortmund, Germany).

Zhanna Nemtsova, the school’s director, describes Nemtsov’s Journalism School as an opportunity to transform your perspective, life, and career. It’s not a two-day seminar or workshop; it’s two weeks with leading journalists, investigators, successful media managers, media researchers, and talented film directors. These professionals have achieved success in their fields and are ready to share their knowledge. A special feature of the 2024 school is the participation of German students from the Dortmund University journalism faculty, hence all sessions in the first week will be conducted in English.

If you’re over 18 and work in media, run a blog, or conduct research, this program is for you. Participation is entirely free. Application requirements include fluency in Russian, English proficiency at a minimum level of B2, a professional resume, a media project concept to be implemented after completion of the program, and a 1-minute video in English about yourself and your professional interests.

The deadline for applications is March 15, 2024.
